Victoria Street Renovation

Introducing the completed Victoria Street Renovation. An 1890’s row house modernization in downtown St. John’s, blending the old and the new. The renovation included, gutting the outdated kitchen, two bathrooms and an old outdoor deck. We added a new en-suite bathroom for the main bedroom, a brand new kitchen, a new half bath and a new outdoor deck, while preserving the character of the original home.

The kitchen, which was opened up to the existing dining room, now brings a lot of natural light to the middle of the house, creating a fresh and vibrant space for living and entertaining. The rest of the house was refreshed to tie in the new with the old. Our clients wanted a clean and minimal aesthetic, and we achieved just that.

Lean Architects - St. John's, Newfoundland

We engaged Collective Architecture to help us remodel our 1890’s row house in downtown St. John’s. Kelvin quickly understood what we wanted to achieve: to improve space utilisation and flow, and to maximise natural light while upgrading fixtures and finishes. He designed a scheme we could execute with some flexibility according to available budget. Kelvin’s knowledge and experience was invaluable in securing permits, obtaining quotes, and appointing a general contractor and structural engineer. Kelvin stayed engaged throughout the project with frequent site visits to ensure quality. We were very happy with how the project ran, and with the finished result.
