Elliston Residence

This compact residence for an artist sits on an elevated site to take advantage of expansive views, while being surrounded by wooded areas on the sides for privacy. Reminiscent of familiar newfoundland forms, the house cleverly stacks a double height space over the living areas, while creating an overhang on the other end for a carport. All the spaces are placed throughout to take advantage of wooded views on the sides and ocean views to the north. Simple material finishes are used throughout to seamlessly integrate in to the surrounding environment.
